How challenging is it to meet sales targets as a new Account Executive at Code42?

Like most software companies, we over-hired during and after Covid so the opportunity per Rep was not where it needed to be in order to see consistent performance.  Since scaling down the sales team ( 3 Riffs in 18 months, not 5 ), every Rep at this company now has a significant opportunity to overachieve their number.  As for the product, Data Protection & DLP is finally getting a seat at the table again in 2023, with my highest pipeline ever tee'd up for 2024. Very optimistic about the future of Code42 as a current Account Executive :)

As Code42's story has evolved from just doing backup and some security features, the ability to meet targets has become much better.

Additionally, Code42 brought in an in-house BDR team, which accelerated outreach efforts in most territories.

Since pivoting from an IRM-only story to covering traditional DLP/CASB use cases, the "Nice to have" conversations have mostly gone away.

Finally, as we move to the future with mimecast, we immediately move from having limited reach/territories to a global reach.

Nearly impossible unless you catch a bluebird. Code42 has experienced 5 different RIF's over the last 18 mos, and is really not in good shape. Incydr is a product that companies don't need, just a nice to have
