JOB SUMMARY
Carolina Handling's Sales Internship offers Associates a chance to gain hands-on experience and exposure in both Sales and Operations. With opportunities available across various departments, this internship allows you to apply the skills you've developed in school to real-world scenarios. As an Intern, you will gain valuable insights into our business operations and build the foundational skills necessary for a successful career within sales as well as skills to take back into the classroom.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Collaborate with the sales team and rotate through various roles to gain insight into B2B sales, sales enablement, prospecting, account management, and more.
2. Work on a designated summer internship project to apply your learning.
3. Maintain daily communication with your mentor and assigned Sales Leader for guidance and feedback.
4. Engage in cross-functional teamwork to ensure that all objectives are achieved.
5. Learn prospecting techniques and cold calling strategies to assist in scheduling meetings for outside sales representatives.
6. Utilize multiple lead generation tools to create prospecting lists.
7. Develop a strong understanding of business development and go-to-market strategies within the Sales organization.
8. Build relationships with customers and internal teams through job shadowing and ride-alongs.
9. Take advantage of personal and professional development opportunities through training sessions, mentorship, and networking events.
What We Expect From You:
1. Current University Student, preferably rising Junior or Senior.
2. Desire to get into sales or similar fields after internship/college.
3. Desire to build relationships with our customer base and internal networks.
4. Excellent customer service skills.
5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
6. Desire to improve prospecting/cold calling skills.
7. Must exhibit aggressive tendencies in order to penetrate new business opportunities.
