Great product and market fit - although a very competitive market. Good culture and leadership. Compensation plan is on the decline and with Cisco now acquiring Splunk it is unlikely to improve.

Splunk overhired AEs and as a consequence the hero to zero factor is very high, either you blow it away or your struggle mightily to get to the arbitrarily assigned number. It is not a transparent process.
