Back to ReviewsFormer Employee Overall, my experience taking a role at Cisco still stands as one of the best career decisions I ever made. That said, the culture has shifted over time in a way that has allowed for toxic leadership to remain at the top, lowering morale and driving teams by way of fear rather than empowerment. This, in combination with frequent layoffs which has let a lot of strong talent go, has deteriorated the overall morale of the sales organization in recent years. Such an approach has also created an excellent opportunity for Cisco's competitors to reap the benefits of hiring top talent while increasing the precence of toxicity and lowering the performance average within.
